LNG can reduce emissions compared with conventional fuels, but its overall climate impact depends on well-to-wake performance and effective methane management.

As early operators of methanol propulsion, we’ve worked closely with classification societies like DNV to shape operational industry standards. Our crews are trained in methanol-specific safety, fuel changeover procedures, and emissions monitoring, with three years’ experience managing methanol-fueled tankers in active service. Methanol is a practical marine fuel, and its long-term decarbonisation value is strongest when supplied as renewable or low-carbon methanol under well-to-wake accounting.
