Clyde Travel Management extends partnership with Glasgow Warriors

29th Oct 2019

Clyde Travel Management – NMG subsidiary - will continue as Official Travel Partners of Scottish professional rugby club Glasgow Warriors, following the Company’s decision to extend their partnership.

Since the collaboration began in 2013, Clyde have provided travel management services to the club as it competes in Europe’s premier rugby competitions, the Guinness PRO14 and the Heineken Champions Cup.

Hailed as the best travelling support in the Guinness PRO14, the ‘Warrior Nation’ (fanbase) has also benefitted from Clyde’s support through fan charter packages to destinations such as Montpellier, Bloemfontein, and the upcoming trip to La Rochelle in December this year.

The success of the Warriors on the pitch – from winning the Guinness PRO12 in 2015 to reaching the 2019 Guinness PRO14 final at Celtic Park, in addition to two European quarter finals in three seasons – has also led to an increased profile for Clyde off the pitch through advertising sponsorship.

Paul Cronje, Director, Clyde Travel Management said: “It was a very easy decision for us to decide to extend our relationship with Glasgow Warriors.

“We relish ensuring that everyone associated with the club has a safe and enjoyable journey to each away game and making sure that the players get there fit and ready to compete at the highest level.

“As a rugby fan myself, it is very satisfying to play our part in the Warriors’ success story of the last seven years, and we hope it continues for years to come.”

Glasgow Warriors Managing Director Nathan Bombrys said: "We're pleased to extend our partnership with Clyde Travel.

“We have an excellent working relationship with everyone involved - their expertise in moving our players and supporters around the world over the past six years has been a real asset for us.

"I truly believe that we have the best travelling support in Europe, and with the help of Clyde Travel I'm looking forward to seeing them at our matches across Europe over the next few months and beyond."
