24th Oct 2019

The new Global Head of Austen Maritime Services - Northern Marine Group's ship agency subsidiary - has taken up his role in Singapore.

Philip Eriksson has joined the Company from Stena AB in Gothenburg, where he previously held the position of Chief Business Controller.

Philip said: “I am very excited to have joined Austen Maritime Services. What attracted me to the business is a mix of being able to personally take a step into the operational side of the business and to lead and develop an organization.

“My background is in logistics, transport solutions and shipping & offshore, in which I worked mainly with financial planning and analysis, strategic business initiatives and mergers and acquisitions.

“I see great opportunity and potential in growing the business by building on the strong expertise that exists in the Company as well as utilizing the fact we are part of one of the world's largest shipping conglomerates.

“I also think it is a must to grow the Company and its network to strengthen our competitiveness and position in the market.”

Philip will report to Philip Fullerton, Managing Director, Northern Marine Group.

He said: “I am delighted to welcome Philip to Northern Marine Group as the new Global Head of Austen Maritime Services.

“His experience as business controller of Stena AB - a worldwide shipping conglomerate - will be invaluable to Austen Maritime Services.  Philip will work closely with former Global Head Christopher Cher who has contributed immensely to the success of the Company thus far and will continue to offer his considerable knowledge and experience in his new role as Head of Tax for Northern Marine Group.

“Philip has joined a well-managed business which offers a secure platform from which to achieve further growth.”
