Bid Manager

This is a new role within the FOC business, to support wider growth plans within this business unit. The role holder will be expected to manage and coordinate all bid activity for Francois across new and existing locations, with a focus on the North Sea region primarily.

Key Responsibilities


  • Supporting and collaborating with BD function to build a network of contacts within prospective clients, forwardingany potential leads created through Lead Forensics and general market intelligence to the Business Development Lead.
  • Maintain our CRM system (Customer Relationship Management), managing the sales pipeline and sales activity, coordinating with the Business Development Lead
  • Collaborate and support the Head of Francois Offshore Catering Limited and Business Development Lead to develop and maintain the sales strategy
  • Work in partnership with the Group marketing function to maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation of the Company’s brand.
  • Develop content for tender submissions, bespoke to the target client focussing on winning themes.
  • Develop standardised templates which can be utilised for the bid and tender process, including process flows and procedures.
  • Project management of tender process including scope and timeline of new bids which meet potential client requirements.
  • Working with Finance and Commercial teams in building robust commercial models, identifying risks and opportunities, understanding the cost base and profit potential of each opportunity
  • Support the creation of prospect specific strategic plans, covering winning solutions, key decision makers, activities, and insights
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to management team on growth performance and activities, including conversion rates, tender submissions, and market analysis.
  • Working with Operations to support the delivery of successful mobilisations of new contracts
  • Develop marketing initiatives that will appeal to our prospective clients in line with the marketing strategy
  • Keep abreast of market dynamics and competition activities
  • Support the wider management team to deliver on Francois Offshore Catering strategic objectives

Candidate Requirements


  • Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience working within the hospitality/catering industry.
  • Relevant experience with bid management and technical administration including supporting business development functions.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of client interactions and general business profit and loss
  • Advanced presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple client and workload demands
  • Creative mindset, with a focus on developing new processes and procedures
