Travel Administrator

The Travel Administrator performs a critical function within Clyde Travel based in Hillington. It provides practical support to the front office. The role is demanding, requiring a great deal of initiative, accuracy and attention to detail. An efficient and effective Travel Administrator is seen as essential in achieving Company Objectives ensuring Clyde Travel remains at the forefront of their Industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • General administration and accounts support to ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations, inclusive of all satellite/implant offices
  • Provide timely and accurate information to management team and accounts dept
  • Produce accurate Sales Invoices and preparation of monthly statements
  • Assist input CT Purchase Ledger and Supplier Payments
  • Assist with bank posting and reconciliation procedures
  • BSP Reconciliation (Airlines / Galileo)
  • Assist the monitoring and recovery of overdue accounts via Credit Control practices
  • Assist with the administration of refunds
  • Close liaison with clients and colleagues providing an excellent level of customer service
  • Ordering and stock level monitoring of stationary as per quality procedure

Candidate Requirements

  • Good awareness of basic accounting methods and current practices
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft office especially Excel and Word
  • Data entry skills and manual dexterity
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Good sound education to standard grade level or equivalent

Desirable

  • Knowledge of back office systems and air fares
  • Preferred College studied course in Accountancy or Business-related subjects
  • Ideally have held an accounts role for 2 years within a busy accounts department preferably within the travel industry
  • Experience in ‘Agresso’ accounting package
