Crewing Officer

Crewing Officer (Offshore) is responsible for the provision of crew planning, coordination, logistics, payroll, and administration support for their assigned offshore assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focal point for crew and Client for the assigned assets.
  • Responsible for offshore crew pre-mobilisation compliance checks.
  • Responsible for ensuring all certification remains valid for the entirety of the assignment as a minimum.
  • Maintain accurate crew movements in real-time in the crew management system.
  • Issuance of all mobilisation information to the crew in a timely manner.
  • Interface with the Client and Offshore Management Team (OMT).
  • Ensure that the vessel/client agents (if applicable) have all the information required for effective crew changes and avoid any delays with immigration and/or transportation.
  • Responsible for ensuring travel, logistics and visas (as required) are arranged accordingly for all their assigned crew.
  • Maintain regular communication with the crew regarding crew changes, providing regular updates on timing and travel requirements.
  • Responsible for carrying out payroll checks and ensuring accurate payroll.
  • Assist payroll in resolving any payroll issues related to the crew movements or expenses.
  • Collaborate with the training team to ensure compliance levels are met for the assigned assets.
  • Be fully conversant with company policies & procedures.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties assigned in line with the incumbent’s skills, knowledge, abilities, and personal development opportunities, as assigned by NMMS Management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstratable experience in an offshore crewing role supporting various offshore units/DSVs/ wind farm vessels in multiple jurisdictions. Knowledge of flag requirements and other statutory requirements for offshore crew.
  • Extensive experience working within seagoing HR/Logistics team for a ship management company.
  • Able to adapt communication style and language to audience.
  • Highly Organised.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Influencing / negotiation.
  • Relationship building/People Person.
